I ordered an OTF today from https://ravencresttactical.com/ you can customize the looks if you like and if you sign up you get a discount on your order. I paid $156.95 for a Titan model with shipping. It seemed like Microtechs were never getting back in stock !

I think there was a guy with some of those at the last Tanner show.

I’m still trying to decide what I really want or if I want anything at all. I’ve carried my cheap OTF for a bit but have been carrying a cheap side folding auto for a few weeks now.

I carry a knife daily as s tool mostly for cutting open boxes, stripping wire if my strippers aren’t handy, and occasionally scraping a little paint off an information tag or scraping a bit of old gasket material off.

Might just ditch the whole auto knife deal and start carrying my Benchmade again.

Something to look forward to Ray is arthritic hands since you work with your hands like I did before retiring. Dual action OTF seems like a good alternative to me.
I've always had a knife in my pocket ever since my Dad gave me my first one and I use one one almost on a daily basis. Looking forward to getting this one and will let you folks know what I think of it when it arrives.

One of the guys I work with has a Ravenscrest. It seems stronger and locks up better than the Microtech otf's that I have seen.

I bought one for my wife's knife collection. Yes, it's hers. LOL.

I'm cheap, so I bought a Kershaw Launch 5, and have been carrying it. I really like it thus far. Is it as durable as my ZT? Doesn't seem like it, but I do like it.

I have a cheapo side opener I picked up at a gun show years ago, never been a fan of side openers. You have to regrip the knife after you deploy the blade and that was what I didn't like. JMHO

Got the Ravencrest OTF today. Super solid action and blade is not loose like I read about with OTF knives. Black kerakoate scales and red kerakoate trigger, screws, and glass breaker. Time wil tell but real happy with it so far.

Cool. I hope you end up feeling it was the right choice over the test of time.

    Nice blade.

Got a Benchmade MINI-INFIDEL. It says mini but its only mini compared to the non mini, otherwise its the same as my Buck folder. Love it so far. Feels solid and positive. They had them in Steamboat Springs at full retail but you can get better pricing at bladehq. Course then theres maybe shipping and the agony of having to wait.

Took a few weeks to work out the tightness and build up my thumb to retract the blade haha but pretty happy with it.

The raven crests aren't bad for the money, they are parts made in china and assembled here, but they stand behind there product with a no questions asked lifetime warranty. I have a couple and they work great.
