The granite has what's called a "chiseled edge". I bought a new machine to do it a few months ago. It's pretty cool. Pneumatic powered tooth that bites the edge off. Unsurprisingly, it's called "The Beaver". The old way involved a huge pair of long handled nippers and was human powered. The humans got tired pretty fast, so it took a line of them.
The area above the fridge does not seem to get warm. We're enthusiastic wine drinkers so wine up there doesn't typically last very long anyhow.![]()
