    Lightbulb Fishing near Boulder Airport?

With all these other discussions of fly fishing and trout pictures I am itching to get out. I am currently working next to the Boulder Airport and wondering if anyone knows of a good area to take a lunch break to get out and fish a bit nearby. I can fish both with fly pole and a short spin rod for casting in rivers. I am not very familiar with the area because I avoid Boulder like the plague and bring lunch to work so I don't have to venture out into town so the more direction on where to go, where to park and walk to would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

the creek through town is good for fly fishing though that would be more than just a lunch break to get to and back. Could probably hit the creek near Valmont and Butte Mill Road though when you get further out there private property and access issues come up. There are some ponds in that area as well that I think some are supposed to be open to fishing, others are closed.

Look up the Sawhill Ponds area.. that is where I believe there is some limited fishing..

If you want to catch a carp on fly, give the ponds a try that are next to Western Disposal at 55th/Pearl. Not necessarily easy, but they'll pull good when you hook one.

Boulder Creek is a bit off color at the moment.

Sawmill looks decent and close to work. Haven't fished warm water very much but would be fun to try it out. Thanks Def90
