I picked this up a couple months ago from forum member TimK at www.cachemystuff.com

I opted for the smaller shelf because it would fit perfectly in our TV room. One of the coolest things is the locking mechanism. That little magnet is what keeps the shelf unlocked. Remove the magnet and its locked. No keys, buttons or anything technical. We have the magnet glued to the bottom of Bill the Cats foot. This means when friends and family are over for dinner with their kids and Bill gets played with, the shelf is locked. The kiddos could not get in there even if they knew what was in it.

Mounting it was painless and Tim provided the beefy screws to mount it. It took me all of ten minutes to get mounted. Most of that time was trying to find the studs so I didn't have to drill a boatload of holes in the wall.

There is a ton of room in the pistol version. I keep an 8 shot revolver, flashlight and a couple spare loaded moon clips. Yes, a revolver. Easy to shoot and contact shots are possible. You could easily fit a full size Glock/1911 with suppressor attached, flashlight, spare mags, ect.
