    Default Pic Hack?

I'm no seriously tech savvy dude here, so maybe this has been covered or is common knowledge.

I just posted a thread where I attached a pic as a thumbnail. I did a "preview post" and decided to include the same pic earlier in the post, so I right clicked on the thumbnail and clicked "copy image", then pasted the pic to the place I wanted.

It showed up there full size - not a thumbnail!
Is this normal or am I a Neanderthal and the only one who doesn't know this? Anyway, It'll certainly help me out in the future either way.

    Here's an example.

Pics look same in size as I view them in tapatalk.

It because one is the image inserted into the post while the other is an attachment.

You sure you didn't "copy image address?"

That's the only way I've ever gotten an attached image to show full size.

Frankly, I wish the board software did a better job at either defaulting to full size, or an option to include the image inline full size. Preview and copy the link and re-inserting it is a pain. Unless I'm missing something...

Not sure I'm following, but if you copy the image address and paste in the URL block under Insert Image tab, you can then uncheck the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" box and it will display full size. If you do not uncheck this box, it will display as a thumbnail.

    That's what I do now.

Still takes several steps to put a full size image into a post.

To put thumbnails inline, it looks like you can go to the "Go Advanced" button and then scroll down toward the bottom under "Additional Options" where you can click "Manage Attachments"
Check and drag the pics you want to use from the top set of pics to the bottom box. Then Check the picture you want to inline and click the "Insert Inline" button and it will attach it as a thumbnail inline with your post.

One easy way to post a full-size photo that is already online is to use the IMG tag:

    Code:
    [img]Image-URL-Here[/img]

True. However, I did not reference online pics.

Ha! I figured it out. This only seems to work when creating a new post. Replying to a post doesn't seem to work.

    Anyway, still useful I guess.

Edit: Oh yeah, I did this with pics uploaded "From Computer" if that wasn't clear.
