    Default Dove season again

Got to sneak out before work and whack a few this morning. Kinda nice to be able to hunt in your own yard.

Who else got to partake opening morning?

Heading out Monday. My buddies scouted the area last night but didn't see much flying

Working in Nebraska and met a local rancher that let me hunt his place. Went after work and was limited out in time for dinner.

With the wet weather we have had this year the birds are spread out and weeds are tall making finding some birds difficult. Numbers of birds are out there but having groups of 30 or 40 at a time are not happening this year. In southern Colorado most people were not limiting out an hour after sunrise opening morning. Also being overcast opening morning delayed the sunrise action as well.. The only reason I did not limit out before 10am is poor shooting on my behalf. Overall not a bad morning hunting.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

finally got out this morning and managed to kill my limit in about 2 hours. Lots of birds.
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.

I had to leave the yard and walk the field this morning.

After shooting at them for 3 days and working on landscaping in yard they are making me walk for it.

Not a lot of birds on my place but enough to put a few in the freezer and have a couple fresh meals.

I just drive down the road and shoot them from my truck. The ones sitting on the power lines are the easiest.

    (Just kidding.)
