Default Shooting at night in CO?

Is shooting at night legal up at Pawnee for target shooting with NODS?

not really sure, but I'd wait until the hunting season is over... might get caught "poaching"... not something you want to try and prove your innocent of...

That's a good question! I'm not familiar with the shooting area you're talking about so I can't speak specifically to it.

However, I don't think there's anything in CO statutes that specifically prohibits shooting at night. If the area is safe and you're not violating any other regulations, rules or laws (for example: 18-9-117 Unlawful Conduct on Public Property might apply if there's rule or regulation prohibiting shooting after dark) it should be OK.

If it's Forest Service or BLM land and there's a regulation against it, you could be in trouble. Might be best to call the sheriff's department and discuss it with them.

I'd be interested to know what you find out about this.
