whole foods and other natural food places usually have bulk corn or they can order it. the hull on popcorn is too thick though it is tempting to try.

for small batches I have used popcorn...however, you need to sift it after you grind the corn.
I used a hand grinder twice on popcorn, that there was some real hard work.

Statement retracted...........I just purchased the Walmart cracked corn and they have a new brand and supplier. This feed corn is nasty, dirty, and smells bad.
