Default GM help, temp/compass in mirror

The temp/compass display in the rear view mirror of my '03 Tahoe doesn't display anymore. All other aspects of the mirror work. It's a little thing, I typically know where I'm going haha but it's a nice feature to have. I've tried unplugging and plugging back in the cable in the back. I've heard it could be a simple fuse issue but don't know where to start looking.

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

Had that happen in my Tahoe as well. They replaced the mirror. HOWEVER, that was because I had an extended warranty. No way in hell I would have spent the money out of pocket. Mine was an 04.

Did you unknowingly hit the button on the mirror that turns off those functions ? I did that on my truck awhile back,

That was my first thought lol but unfortunately no. I'm still trying to hunt down the possible fuse issue. Yikes no way I'll ask the dealer to run it down, stupid expensive. I had a guy that did all my work but he shut down his shop and moved to Arizona. Definitely more of an inconvenience than anything else. Thanks joeo for that link!

Well to update I picked up a used mirror-confirmed it worked. This morning I went out to get coffee before I did the swap and the original mirror was showing direction and temp lol. At least I have a good one as a spare now.

Sounds like a corroded connector. Unplug it then re-plug it. Fixed!
