Either will shoot accurately enough for big game out to any reasonable distance (~250 yards iron sight) with proper ammo. Be careful, though, most of 'em were bored .310-.311 and will digest almost anything without issues, but some (mine's a Sako) are .308, and show serious pressure signs with commercial hunting ammo. The accuracy on mine bites with the bigger bullets too, but it's a tack driver out past 500 yards with 168 grain .308 bullets in handloads.
