I just saw a newer full size truck on the highway this weekend that was fully done in bed liner.
Buy the gallon cans of BL, a few rollers and go to town. I highly recommend a good respirator, lots of ventilation (fans) and an open area to apply it. We did a trailer frame i built with BL, people down the block were getting a buzz from the fumes.

Maaco sucks for body work, and they are over-priced. If you do the bodywork, they shoot a decent paintjob. If you can get it all smooth, I have seen solid color wraps for as little as $500. Those last 3-5 years depending on how much you sun it.
Interesting long-term on the wrap idea: http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cult...-wrap-removal/
Obviously not a golfer.
CARC is going to be a tough search. GCI military paint is available on ebay.
I have done both bed liner and plasti-dip, I would recommend plasti-dip over bed liner unless you were to get it done professionally.
