Oh no doubt dude. I meant deleting it as a way of just not flipping through endless memes and other Facebook shit. I have apple devices and I’m sure they collect so much about me. I have a gmail, and sometimes those sync up. If I schedule a hotel it puts it on my calendar on my iPhone and even saves the number to the escort servi....I mean the restaurant. Yeah that’s the ticket.

Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are probably soon going to dictate what traffic can or cannot arrive at people’s end devices. GOOG-FB-AMZN traffic would be the most common,...
Google and Facebook have had a number of projects, large and small, where they've stepped into the internet infrastructure space. The most obvious ones would be Google Fiber, and for Facebook, the additional undersea pipeline they just laid between the US and Europe.

They've also had a number of other infrastructure plans as well, incorporating things like cell repeaters on weather balloons and solar-powered aircraft capable of providing web connectivity.

If you think those network infrastructures won't be optimized for GAFA (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon) traffic, I've got a bridge to sell you.

I've actually received work through my social media platforms. Facebook is a bit more than just memes and political rants.

That was an interesting (and somewhat scary) article. Lots of food for thought.

The Fox Sci-Fi TV show The Orville had an episode named "Majority Rule" that pointed a light on the type of society that an under-informed populace can create essentially using 'likes' and a web video 'feed'.
