Has anyone ever known anyone to have a tube mag on a lever gun "blow up" from recoil or dropping the gun, causing the rounds in the mag to set themselves off?

I'm a recent, first time lever gun owner and a few gun people I know have told me this is a thing, but I've never heard of it before. Seems to me that tube mags would have gone the way of the horse and buggy if this were the case.
