Yes, it is why round nose softpoint projectiles are common on 30-30 rounds.
Not much of a problem on lever guns that load thru the receiver opening.
However, some tube fed guns have a spring loaded follower that must be retracted manually to insert rounds.
DO NOT let that follower go and have it smack down on the rounds in the feed tube!
