After 3 months finding a few things I'd like from a different bike and going to be getting a different. This question may be mute since I'll probably not find a buyer until spring. But I was wondering for a freshly registered bike, think I can transfer plates to new bike and just pay like a pro rate between them or anything? Both kawasaki so I suppose if an officer doesn't know what they look like I'd be fine, but facing the late fee or worse next year trying to update plates? Up till now I've been fortunate and 4 wheel vehicles sold were all like 2 months away from needing renewed anyways.

Not like $150 or whatever it was is a big deal, esp since I think a fair chunk of that is the physical plate itself I now have?
