Don't they only give out like 3 tags for these? When we put the addition on our house, the contractor came to me and told me.he drew for desert bighorn and would I mind if he delayed the job so he could go on the hunt of a lifetime. Of course I didn't mind. He bagged one too. Pretty cool.

I was going to ask how you know but I just got notice via e-mail, which is a much better system for letting hunters know of their license status. I got a point for RM Bighorn as expected as it's my first year applying for sheep. You can log into your account to find success or preference point posting. I'm anxious to learn about the moose draw. Apparently they posted moose draws last year on May 5th.


BTW, it's very important to have funds available if one uses a debit card for payment of a license. It's much better to use a credit card. From http://cpw.state.co.us/thingstodo/Pa...ncePoints.aspx


Important changes regarding missed payments and loss of preference points (2018)

The deadline for paying for your sheep/goat license is May 18, 2018​; big game license is June 20, 2018. All successful licenses will be mailed after the payment is received. ​

For BIG GAME, credit cards are initially charged June 4-8th. If the credit card on file is declined, you will have until June 20th to provide an alternate form of payment. An attempt will be made to notify you in the event that your card is declined.


If you do not pay for your license by the deadline

If we are unable to charge the credit card on file in your cpwshop.com account and you fail to pay for your license online, by phone, or at a CPW location by the deadline (SHEEP/GOAT: May 18, 2018; BIG GAME: June 20, 2018),

Your license is surrendered
You lose the license
You lose any and all preference points you used to draw that license.
