    Default Heads Up

Heads up to SysAdmins here, that google has recently started declaring that if a site doesn't have a valid SSL certificate, they are going to report it as "unsafe."

Anyway, I get a ton of (new) errors when I try and come here, that I have to wade through.

These guys offer free SSL certs... (and I too will probably be buying some soon.)

my browser shows the site's SSL cert is valid, and using TLS 1.2 as desired. The cert is from comodo.

I mostly use chrome and have seen no issue here. The cert shows valid. Couple warnings under critical extensions, but no issues reported connecting with chrome.

No issues with IE at work (DOD) or Firefox/IE at home on two different laptops (Linux Mint/Win10), nor on iphone (safari).

Perhaps a browser setting/need of update throwing false positives?

Yes, sorry, I appear to have been mistaken. The site does indeed have a good certificate and valid into 2019. I think I may have been hitting a wrong/bad site. Sorry for the false alarm.

(I still need to go out and get certs for my sites though.)

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.
