Any of you raise cattle in 4H.
1st you name them.
Then, keep them in a pen
feed them grain
brush them out
teach them to lead with a harness so you can show them
Win a few ribbons
Finally eat them! YUMMY!
I bet that young guy is still pink instead of red inside from being milk fed.
Elk Veal!
I'd admire him 'till he was done.
Doing so before would be like shooting a buck as he is mounted on a doe.
Some things you just gotta give a little time.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
neah, just enjoy that and let them be... but elk veal does sound tempting...
I guess it depends on how hungry I am...
I wouldn't shoot it. Killing young wildlife destroys ecosystems and it wouldn't have much meat on it anyways.
If I would have seen it it 3rd elk season on my last day hunting, It would be going threw the hamburger machine now.![]()
Nah, I couldn't shoot a pup like that. But I enjoyed the video, thanks!
Hard to tell the size, it looks pretty decent, maybe a yearling. I'd take it...they're very tender. I shot a yearling (looked big in the scope at 75yds...lol) once, and even the round steaks were cut with your fork tender. Best meat I've ever had!
sure I would. I never get emotionally involved with dinner. tom
