Default bell making outta range scrap brass? anyone have a forge/foundry?

i have a bell tower/sniper tower/ fire tower / beer drinking man town spot depending on what time of day it is, and i want a bell in it... im not super keen on it having to have "bell sound/tone" so im ok with just using range brass... anyone within 2 hours of fort morgan have a foundry to melt some brass down and assist with bell pouring?

Bell metal is made from bronze (copper & tin) with a higher tin content than normal bronze. Where as Brass is a made from copper & zinc.

i figure i can add tin or copper as necessary to get closer to right tone. but, basically i just want it to look like a bell. and not be aluminim or something cheezy like that

This is a brilliant idea. I had a big-ish sailboat an it had a brass bell. If you follow through, keep us posted.

This is my buddy's brother in law. He's an ER doctor by trade and Youtube hobbyist in his spare time.

He has videos of making his own foundry furnace, melting down range brass, and even casting an AR10 from brass casings. I guess for making a bell you would need some sort of wax bell or something to mold into the sand for casting.

You should make some wind chimes too. I made some once out of empty 50 BMG cases. It was quite nice. Every man spot deserves some manly wind chimes.

I'd like a large wind chime made out of something strong enough I could shoot at it. Something the size of a well casing would do the trick.

Saw a wind chime made out of scuba or gas tanks. Badass.
