    Default Solar Gate openers

Both of out gates are 12' 3 rail units. There's a plethora of solar openers (Battery not incl) out there. Who & why?

Look around at what your neighbors have would be a good indicator as to what works good out there in the wastelands.....

Unfortunately the ones who have them, they were there prior to the current people taking up residence. Or it's been so long they forgot, or the sun has faded any info on the unit.

Tractor supply carries a large amount of them. I don’t have any on my gates so no first hand knowledge but they make plenty of models depending on your gate size, if it’s a double gate, etc.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

Just be the one that is always driving. That way out of courtesy, your passenger will need to get out to open the gate.........

I've been using the Mighty Mule 500 on Mom's 16' single gate for years now. Just have to shovel a little snow now and then because the gate opener hates pushing the heavy wet stuff. Use a battery box, a lawnmower battery and a 5-10 watt solar panel aimed south. Replaced the battery once in 12 years. Have a couple of the wireless keypads mounted on pieces of conduit pounded into the ground(one inside the fence to get out, one outside to get in), for when folks without transmitters come around. Works great even if the wireless range is kinda short. Tractor supply and Murdoch's have them in stock usually.
