For what most people are used to, I completely agree. Working this hurricane I have to think that a cooler like that would be nice just to keep veggies and stuff for a little longer. Under normal circumstances though, not worth the price. Hurricane = high humidity (for quite some time after)

It's going to cool even less with high humidity. Theoretically 10 degrees above dew point unless it has something like a Peltier junction, and that takes power.
