Not too many sugar free candies that don't mess up a stomach. Walgreens has a section of sugar free candies. Natural Grocers used to sell a few Xylitol based natural candies. Not as bad as the sugarfree gummies, but still need to limit intake the first few times.

Lilly's chocolate bars. You can find them at King Soopers. They're expensive, but my diabetic hubby can eat them (in moderation) because they are sweetened with Stevia.

All other diabetic friendly sugar-free snacks come with a horrible, horrible price tag.

You could also give her nut mixes, but the problem with those is that it's hard to stop eating nuts if they have salt on them. Honestly, I'd get her a couple of those chocolate bars. They have a few flavors. The coconut sucks, but the others are good.

As a Diabetic myself I can tell you first hand that not all "Sugar Free" foods affect me the same. I have gone through a lot of pass/fail testing of sugar free snacks and its crazy how certain things are fine and others destroy me. I wouldn't try to buy another Diabetic any sugar free snacks simply because of that unique reaction each person has to different foods. The only person I blindly trust with any food items is my wife as she knows what works or doesn't work for my system.

If you don't want to ride the wave, you can eat healthy, satisfying foods, without touching carbs or sweets.

It's a lifestyle change I call "death by steak."

As a pre-diabetic, I lost 90 lbs. over two years, and now have a decent blood pressure, etc.
