Anyone work on the Comcast Business sales side?

Have a couple of questions, may want to convert my internet at home over to a business account for the upload bandwidth and to get a static IP. Yes, I know I can do DDNS but want to discuss pros/cons with someone knowledgeable who can help make the switch happen if I decide to go that route.

Basically, I just rolled my own Blue Iris camera system and will want to upload clips to off-site storage.

For what you are wanting to do, an asus router with their free DDNS service will be simple, cheap, and work right...

Do you record 24/7, or only on motion?

It's a good point, I really probably should only upload archived alert events. I am recording 24/7/365, will be a total of 14 cams at 2.1-4.3 MP each. Has been a great project to put together, especially as I kinda enjoy "optimizing by fiddling". It's early days, and I have a lot of fiddling left to do to get everything optimized.

Didn't know that about the hardware, thanks for bringing it up Grant H. I purchased my own modem and for a router am running DD-WRT on a rooted... something, I forget at the moment. The only thing I would willingly switch to would be something I can root and install Open-WRT on, being forced to use specific equipment is not appealing.

Sounds like the best route for me is to fire up DDNS and just archive the selected events. 00tec, would CC pitch a fit over that?

I can get you Comcast Premier service because we are a partner and re-seller. It's far and away the best business class service in the Denver Metro area. PM me if you want. They have a pretty good special running now that includes static IP block, LTE backup WAN and a phone line. This is not residential service, or the "Business" service, which is just expensive home service.
