Anyone work on the Comcast Business sales side?

I can get you Comcast Premier service because we are a partner and re-seller. It's far and away the best business class service in the Denver Metro area. PM me if you want. They have a pretty good special running now that includes static IP block, LTE backup WAN and a phone line. This is not residential service, or the "Business" service, which is just expensive home service.

Sounds like the best route for me is to fire up DDNS and just archive the selected events. 00tec, would CC pitch a fit over that?

The only problem you will have is hitting the 1tb residential limit, unless you go for the unlimited plan.

For what you are wanting to do, an asus router with their free DDNS service will be simple, cheap, and work right...

Comcast Business Static requires you to use a complete POS router-fawk-show...

(Not aimed at 00tec, and I apologize in advance for the language, but this has been a huge PITA for our company, and is now costing us monthly revenue because their POS business router that you HAVE TO use to get static ip's doesn't do what it is supposed to.)

I don't know all the details, but a client (with expert help) is not having any luck getting inbound VPN services to work with a CC business router.

We literally want it to just pass all traffic through and provide our static ip's... Nothing more. We basically can't ask it to do less...

You can still use any router/firewall inside Comcast business. Their Arris modems will pass all traffic to your configured device. You can have them set nat/dhcp off too and it becomes just a modem at that point. We have no issue passing any type traffic from WAN. We have every brand of firewall you can imagine inside Comcast customers office with no real issues.

We have spent hours on the phone with them, tried 3 different shitbox "modems", and it still answers packets that it is supposed to do nothing but hand off to the firewall/router. The tunnels and customer data don't like CC "modems" answering some, but not all, packets that it should just forward.

We have no issues at any of our fiber connections. Just CC business...

Delfuego, thanks for the conversation and your perspective. I think if my needs outgrow the addition of the "unlimited" option that 00Tec indicated, I know which way I can go.

It looks like I can adjust my strategy and that the regular residential service I already have can meet my needs, with the option of upgrading to unlimited as the next step if needed.

This sounds like the issue my contact is having. Says when they disable DHCP/NAT, it all turns to shit.
