    Default Application Deadline Approaching

Five weeks until deadline. Also haven't seen a discussion on the $50 preference point fee for moose, goat and sheep on top of the tag increases. Will have to think a little harder whether I'm willing to pay a few hundred dollars more for the privilege to hunt these 3 species.

After the politics of this state and the way the DOW is running things, I'm done hunting here and moving soon.

Sucks to have to pay the additional fees, but gotta pay if I want to play.

Just the point fees coupled with app fees, both R and NR combined, will generate >$10m this year over last year. You know, gotta help out those Parks folks........

eta- this will be year 32 for me trying to get a bull moose tag, I'm in it till the end.

Common sense is a punishment for having to deal with those who don't have it.

After 32 points, how much does another point increase your odds of a successful draw?

There isn't a way to have 32 points, used to be lottery. I have 3 points and 18 weighted points in this current process. The first year I put in was 1988.

Another weighted point theoretically helps because your random generated number is inverted and converted and divided by weighted points plus 1. You want the lowest number at the end of the process per draw unit.

Makes perfect sense. There must be some genius hunters in the woods of Colorado. I bet Arkansas' point system is not as complicated.

What part of a bull moose tastes better than on a cow moose?
