I just got a Turkey license which I wanted anyway.. A small game license is a no brainer anyway, last year while I was Elk hunting on my otc tag I could have shot 5 grouse within 10 feet of me if I wanted. Many ways you could take advanntage of the additional license. In a way the additional license culls out some of the out of staters that people were complaining about last year whenthey removed the down payment part of the draw so I would guess that a number of out of staters on the fence simply wont apply which should be a plus for us.

I thought there was a set percentage of non-resident licenses awarded? They didn't raise non-resident tag prices and, if true, the "qualifying" license requirement is just a backdoor grab at more money. If they need more in the budget, set the tag prices accordingly, don't force someone to buy something they don't want or need. I believe, the majority of the budget is made up of out-of-state fees, and if non-residents say FU be prepared for us to make up the difference in years to come.

I'll be honest i wasn't a huge fan of buying my dads out of state qualifying license... but im ok with out of state people find other places to hunt too :-) i have seen more and more people in the spots i hunt every year.. gets a bit crowded.

No sheep tag this year. Still have more rejections to come yet.
