If I could get an invite somewhere I would pick up one of the Nightvision scopes that goes in front of the day scope.

I'm running a pulsar N355 with a sniper hawg 66xlr. They just released the N455 which is supposed to have a few more features. Mines been a great unit so far.

I had an ATN XSight II that was very good. Sold it before relocating. Looking at a few options but tomorrows tech. Is obsolete by labor day, so i'm doing my homework before the next investment. .

What i don't like about the new line of digital thermals and NV. All the bells and whistles they stuff in there. Sure capturing the shot is nice. However all those add ons seem to be the ones that cause a freeze up scope, loss of zoom (in & out) and having to do a factory reset every so often.
I'm on a few nv / thermal forums where the major complaint[s] are related to using the add ons

Timely subject as I'm in the market for an economical IR system for my pellet gun so I can get rid of yard pests. There are several homebrew methods that airgunners use, but I'm low on time these days to build one. Will be keeping my eye here for some ideas.

I've been leaning towards a FLIR hand held. Having the spouse spot for me with a green laser. She'll tag em, i bag em.
