    Default Aluminum welding?

Still looking for help welding a support bracket back on to the step rail which is aluminum for my Tahoe. I originally thought it was steel, my bad.

    Thanks!

Can you pull the rail off of the vehicle? It will need to be TIG welded.

Tinelement can probably do it if he’s still around.

Chase Larson (user name Lars) can do it. He built me a nice aluminum vault for my truck.

How's the vault working out for you? I lost your number but was curious if it was holding up and doing what you needed. Thanks for the referral. Doc45 I look forward to meeting you and getting you back up and running.

It’s holding up pretty well! Those bottom sliders I had you use have developed a little flex like you warned me they might, but it’s absolutely functional, and I’ve does exactly what we designed it for. Thanks again.

**Just talked to Chase, thanks very much-he can take care of it**

Yes, the rail is off the vehicle. Thanks Fentonite, I’ll reach out to Chase.

    Good to hear!

I was going to offer, but with the caveat of I'm still learning. Structurally strong, but not cosmetically great...
