Which do you own and why did you choose it over the other option?
I Know you have to pay for Xbox Live if you want to play online, as well as pay for Playstation Network. Is there a reason why you chose one console over the other?
PS4
Xbox One
Don't want a Console

the controllers on the Xbox are more comfortable to me
the PS4 exclusives have been amazing the last few years. The internal hard drive is simple to upgrade and it supports an external storage drive. I have a 2tb portable drive plugged into one of the USB ports.
I am not a fan of Sony as a company, but I think they nailed it with the PS4. Not going to find halo on the PS4 though...
Never complain; never explain.
My Feedback
Looks like Google might be coming out with something as well.

I have an Xbox, and admittedly a fair amount of that is because I was a tester for the 360 about 10 years ago, so there's a certain amount of nostalgia. In terms of the games, most of the ones I want to play tend to come out on multiple platforms, but I personally would give the PS4 a slight edge in exclusives.
Of course, I'm 99% a PC player, so take that for what it's worth.
I don't play online, so my focus is on the few good single player games that come out each year. Both consoles get the same games from the big studios, but the PS4 is wolds better than the Xbox when it comes to exclusives. The Last of Us is PS3/4 only and TLOU 2 will be PS4 only. I only play about 100 hours of video games a year. My PS4 spends more time as a streaming device and Blu-ray player.
I think the last machine I owned was a Nintendo64. Could have been a Sega Dreamcast. Can?t remember.
I own both and my PS4 hasn't been plugged in for months and went unused for months before that. My Xbox One X gets used several times a week.
Pro Xbox - I prefer Xbox Live to PSN hands down. The game pass (especially when on sale) is a killer deal and keeps getting better. Lots of backwards compatibility. They way Microsoft has been structuring itself I'm way more confident buying digitally since it's way more likely that my library will keep going to future hardware. If you get an X you get real 4k options including blu ray.
Pro PS4 - If you happen to like their exclusives over Xbox and that's a legitimate reason. PSVR?
Makes No Difference - Many games are cross platform and look comparable on either. If you happen to have more friends on one service than the other. Both require subscriptions to their online service for online play (but at least Xbox will automatically update itself for free).
There's my short list. It's pretty weighted toward Xbox but if you really want to play Spider Man, Last of Us, Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, or some other admittedly intriguing exclusives then PS4 is by no means a bad choice.
The "k" is silent.
I went ahead and voted PS4 because of the virtual reality stuff available for it. Super fun.
well I have done a bunch of reading online and still can't decide. I think it pretty much ends up being about game choice.
PS4 Pro - $430 and need to pay for PSN
Xbox one X - $500 and need to pay for Gold Live
So the difference of a Game basically.
