    Default Patio door replace glass

    The string trimmer threw a rock into the patio door (moving side) and shattered the outer pane. First place I called quoted $480, ugh. Any cheaper options/recommended companies in the Boulder region? I'm assuming this wouldn't be covered by State Farm under homeowners or the deductible would be too high to bother.

    If a hired person did the damage, then their insurance would be responsible for replacing the glass. If it was you, your insurance would cover it, but as you've mentioned, your deductible is likely higher. Even if you had a low deductible (like $250) it still wouldn't be worth filling a homeowners claim.

    $480 doesn't seem out of the question to have such a large window be reglazed. Superior D&G on here does glass and may be able to help you out.

    I agree, sounds pretty high.

    You could try someplace list this;

    That is pretty close. They can't just replace the outer glass have to replace them both as they are a sealed unit.

    Thanks but we have been focusing on custom shower glass and mirrors. $480 is actually a good price. I would have been higher.

    I am in need of a custom glass door for my remodeled bathroom, and have you in mind. When the time is right, I'll give you a call. Just wanted to let you know.
