Bookcliff range out by the airport is the only one I know of. Seems like it's way out 27 1/4 Rd, off of H Rd. But I'd ask a local.

Ask Foxtrot, he lives in GJ.

Don't forget to leave a shot-up TV or something as an offering to the Western Slope gods.

Yeah, there's no shortage of slob shooters around GJ, or anywhere else for that matter. Our Palisade farm is adjacent to a BLM shooting area and it's just a terrible mess.

But Pook, I suggest you go to the new CPW shooting range at Cameo. It's right off I-70 at the Cameo exit about 2 miles east of the Palisade exit. I was out there this morning and it is impressive. I've never seen anything like it, world class for sure. Neat, clean and safe. It has 20 shooting bays, some with 10-20 bench shooting tables each. It has a rimfire range, and 50, 100 and 200 yard ranges, all covered with both steel and paper targets. Archery ranges too. Soon the 1000 and 2000 yard ranges will be completed, and a shooter's convention center with meeting rooms and banquet hall for 1000 people is in the works.

They sell targets and other supplies but no ammo yet. Very affordable, $12 single day pass, or $10 ea for two people. Go early as it's hot later in the day. I had the place to myself, only one other shooter on another range.

I just went to Cameo this past weekend; great place. Friendly RSOs and nice setup. They did have a small stock of ammo in the office for sale; looked like .22, 9-mm, etc. It was pretty empty for a beautiful Saturday morning.

I'm in Palisade now. Can't take time for rifles at Cameo but will do some pistol practice on BLM tomorrow if the wind subsides.

Just go north on 25 road it turns into dessert and BLM land. EVERYONE in GJ shoots there. Not long distance and just make sure you get a safe spot with agood berm. Its kind of a shit show but its free.

I really do prefer to go to Cameo as well. Great place, great staff, and they host action pistol shoots there all the time (action pistol group is the club that hosts them

Or if you want to check out a huge range:
