    Default EDC Repairable?

    Hi,

My Every Day Carry (EDC) is starting to fall apart and I am not sure what is happening or if it can be repaired.

The one side looks fine, but the other side is obviously missing a piece/bolt. The first symptom was that the blade was very loose left to right, and the piece/bolt that is missing hadn't gone totally missing yet, but now it is totally missing. I think I saw when it flew out, and can probably find it, if required, but the blade was already loose prior to it coming out so I may be missing multiple pieces at this time.

Is there any hope for this guy? It's a cheap knife, but I like it and have carried it for a pretty many years. Or, should I just punt and get a new one?

McMaster Carr will have what you need all you need is a set of calipers and some taps to measure the thread pitch of the threaded part still in the knife
You sir, are a specialist in the art of discovering a welcoming outcome of a particular situation....not a mechanic.

    It’s called a “Chicago Screw/Bolt.”
My T.P. wheeling and dealing feedback is here.

Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, and it stinks more than mine.
