We?re having a memorial for my father-in-law soon, and I just couldn?t stomach the cheap plastic box the crematorium provided for his ashes. It should fit inside this, though. American walnut and curly maple: in my mind, reflective of the man. I used biscuit joints between the boards, and dowel pegs at the corners. Glued and clamped, no nails. Would?ve been much less sanding if I had a joiner, a planer, and a decent router table (not to mention, some experience). The teak oil brought out the grain nicely, I think.
