    Default Serrated or not?

Love my Spydercos, and my Benchmades, and Emersons, and others. But often wonder if the perfect EDC blade is a Spyderco Endura or Jumpmaster 2 (serrated), or an old Strider, or a Reeves, or a Lon Humphrey Kephart in a custom tooled sheath. What's yours?

So, as far as the thread title, I definitely prefer a plain edge.

As far as the perfect EDC knife it is really going to depend on the person and what they expect out of it. For me, anything that is made of a quality steel and will hold a decent edge and has about a three inch blade is ideal for me. I definitely prefer a folder that is easily opened and closed with one hand.

I?m currently carrying a Spyderco Para3 and I?m happy with it.

I've never liked serrated edges on my pocket knives. I think it's because I find them easier to keep sharp.

So a serrated blade would probably be ideal if you were a pirate on an old sloop or galleon and a lot of your cutting tasks involving riggings for sails or whatnot.

Now when I see someone EDC a serrated blade I?ll be suspicious of their maritime exploits.
