    Default Youth .22

I seem to be asking a lot of questions lately,

I'm looking for a decent youth sized .22, preferably bolt action, what do people recommend?

My boys first was a Savage MarkII F. A little larger than the youth version but was very manageable for them at 10 years old.

It's a measure of the civility in this country that no ones seems to fear constantly pissing off the people who own lots of guns.

Though you are looking more for a bolt gun, I would consider a ruger 10-22. The stocks are smaller on most models and they work well for kids.

Cricket is what all my kids learned with. They still take them out.

Rascal or cricket are my recommendations. My kids have the Savages.

Any of the old Stevens falling block or bolt action 22’s would work well too.

I have 10-22, I don't want semi auto for teaching.
