I had one...don't remember the brand...and hated it. Pain in the ass to always unlock/unlatch it and get into the bed. Hard to carry oversized stuff with it. Business partner had one, too. We were constantly fighting with his to get stuff for classes in and out.
I got rid of it and got a topper. Much happier, much easier to use, WAY more convenient in my opinion.
Some say a cover increases fuel mileage. Consumer Reports testing doesn't show that. In face, according to CR, fuel mileage went down 10% or more with a tonneau in place.
If you use the bed of your truck a lot (I do), find out how hard it is to get into it with the tonneau in place. My experience is 10+ years old, too, so the market may have changed substantially.
For me, a tonneau was an expensive mistake. Other guys swear by them, though.
