    Default Dash camera

I'm researching dash cams and thought I'd tap into the hive mind. I did a search but everything I could find was limited and auxiliary to the thread topic. What experience does everyone have? What are the go to brands, and which models should be avoided?

Wow, that's not nearly as expensive as I thought it would be.

I received a Cobra model as a gift and I like it. Pretty cheap at Costco.

Some great info on the other site.

I was thinking about getting a Mobius. Small little thing, and it serves dual purpose as an action camera.

Check out the threads on 6speedonline.com or rennlist.com

There are a lot more variables and choices than I would have thought -- not just size but the ability to output to computer, media the files are stored on, capacity, "crash mode" while parked (apparently some of these cameras will record the driver's side while parked and start saving the previous seconds if the G-sensors detect someone hitting your car, etc.
