And he showed me how to stretch - with my feet flat on the floor, hands on the kitchen counter, just lean forward slowly and stretch the Achilles tendon. No bouncing or forcing! Just stretch the Achilles, and the plantar fasciia tendons. If you can, skooch your feet back some and stretch some more. Then stop.
It'll take a few days for the inflammation to chill out, but I did that stretching maybe 4-5 times, and that shit was GONE! That's been over 10 years ago, haven't had the heel pain or shots since. I'll still do the stretches a few times a year when I think about it, but it ain't often. He also said you can put a board under your toes and do the stretches, so you don't have to lean so far, but I never have.
Try it! It was a life-changer for me, pain was gone in a very short time.
