counterfeit money pens?
Going to be putting a vehicle (motorcycle) up for sale and would like to get a counterfeit money detection pen.
Anyone know a good local source in the Springs to get one?

The vast majority of counterfeit currency you may encounter in the US is apparent by feel alone. The pen is just a pH ink that reacts to the acidity in wood pulp paper. US currency is printed on cotton (underwear trimming mostly). No amount of crumbling and washing will give wood pulp paper the same feel as cotton paper. In fact, most cashiers and bank tellers first identify counterfeit bills because they just feel different. That is when a little observation will easily reveal counterfeit bills. A very simple but often overlooked method for detecting modern counterfeit is looking at the serial numbers. Digital counterfeiters rarely will go to the effort of sequencing the serial numbers. If you are holding to Federal Reserve Notes of the same denomination and they have the same serial number, odds are both are counterfeit. Modern counting machines like those used at Federal Reserve Banks and larger banks have magnetic readers that can determine the strength of the magnetic field produced by the ink used in printing the bills. Either too much magnetism or not enough, and the bills will be culled out as possible counterfeits.
The biggest indicator that someone knows they have counterfeit bills and they are attempting to pass them is they segregate their authentic bills from their counterfeit bills. If during any transaction, you observe someone keeping like denomination bills in separate wads in different locations on their person, it would be a good indication that they may be doing something shady and you should pay closer attention.
