Default Clean/degrease BBQ grille or camp cooker - what are you using?

Curious to know what people are using to clean/degrease their BBQ grilles or camp cookers? We have a Camp Chef free standing propane stove that has a few years of greasy stains on it and I really need to clean it up.

Oven cleaner? Anything else that works well?

Would love something I could spray on, let it sit and then wipe or hose off, but I don't know if that's a reasonable expectation.

My go to de-greaser is Simple Green. Pair that with a Scotchbrite scrubber and it will get almost anything off.

Dawn dish soap works great as well (or your favorite brand). Mix it with a bit of warm water but keep it concentrated. Does great job on grease.

I got citrusafe end of last season for the grill, but it seems to cause issues with rust on uncoated steel. So I would use and then clean with soap and water if you go that route. It does a great job of eating the grease and is marketed as a grill cleaner:

Maybe. The reason Dawn works to remove grease is because it is a petroleum product. Make sure any competing product has petroleum in it.

Power Purple We use it to clean equipment after hydraulic leaks
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
