    Default SKS Norinco Poly

Is a Poly Norinko SKS more valuable than a plain Norinco?
Is there anything special about a ?0404? arsenal stamp? Trying to figure out where in the value range this gun falls.

(Found a shotgun I need badly).

Yes anything Polytech is worth more, to the right person. Does it say KENGS, KFS, Navy Arms, or BWEST anywhere on the receiver?

FWIW: it's either a Norinco, or a Polytech. 2 different import stamps, to get passed customs and ATF. The Kengs etc marks were applied once in the states (IIRC) Or it could say Norinco Poly USA Atlanta GA.

Value wise, what ever the market will bear. keep in mind, SW, and a few others, have some chi-com sks's on their shelves, selling for $399 - $499 . Look at armslist and or gunchoker to see what they're listed for. I'd be curious what condition yours is in.

The biggest issue is failed to clean the piston[s] good and corrosion pitted them up fairly well

It?s marked MADE IN CHINA BY NORINCO POLY ATLANTA GA.

All numbers are matching but the bayonet went missing at some point.

Condition is good and I have the cleaning kit and the ammo carrier that came with it. Will check piston, but have cleaned it throughout the life here and there.

Next time I will just ask the GK directly.

that's a later model. There's 2 different bbl & trigger groups. 1 has a threaded bbl which is more of a stepped looking one, thicker part in to receiver. The pinned bbl is basically a single diameter from muzzle in to receiver.

Trigger group wise there's "milled" being a 1 piece with the trigger guard part of the housing

The other has the trigger guard looking like a separate piece of metal welded to the trigger housing.

the threaded bbl w/ milled trigger group will bring more to one looking for a sks.
