    Default Thread protector 22LR accuracy?

If a thread protector is longer then the threaded end and hangs past the muzzle will this effect accuracy? Is flush best?
    Anyone test this?

I suppose in theory if it extends much past the muzzle it would effectively kind of act as the muzzle crown.

I bet there are YouTube videos of people testing such a thing.

I wouldn’t think it would be an issue. The 1/4-1/2 it might be sticking out probably .3-.4 of an inch away on a radius from the crown will be hard pressed to change the gas impulse at exit enough to modify poi
