The Emphasis and Efficient would be much nicer if they weren't prominently stamped "China" on the blade. To be clear, it's not the actual stamp that bothers me. I was not aware that most of the knives I was interested in at the seconds sale were made in Taiwan and/or China. But, I had never seriously looked at SpyderCo before. So that's on me.
All 3 lock up and open fine, and don't appear to have any wobble or other construction issues. The Emphasis appears to have a large metal void near the pivot point. I'll have to disassemble to see how bad it actually is. The other two don't have any obvious issues. What I got looks to be good value for the money. I will put away my usual edc knife for a while while I try one of these.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up on the online event.
Edit - after playing with the two chinese knives for another few minutes, I don't like either of them. The liner lock on them is difficult to hit, and rather sharp edged. It's sort of buried down in the cut handle cutout. If I want to close it with one hand it's awkward, and the lock ends up just being contacted by the top corner of my thumb. To top it off, the metal has a hard 90 degree corner which grabs my thumbnail when depressing the lock (that's how weird the angle is, my thumbnail hits it). It combines unrefined detailing that prioritized a look over function with poorly finished materials.
The Native seems just fine so far.
