Did the lady start a hair dryer mayber? My outside GFI's are tied to the GFI's in the bathroom. Wife one day went to dry her hair while the pellet smoker was running and she tripped the breaker.

Ours is the same, but in reverse: The GFCI in both upstairs bathrooms is located on the back porch! We were baffled as hell the first time it popped, we checked the breaker box, checked the GFCI outlets in the bathroom, no joy.
Then I looked at the GFCI on the back porch next to the sliding glass door. Sure enough, that was the one. Reset it and everything worked. So now if the wife is running a hair dryer in the master bathroom and I happen to turn on a space heater in the main bathroom, it will pop the GFCI and I have to go out on the back porch to reset it.
