I wouldn't fix up a 10/22 unless it's something like a Kidd. It would be a Franken-Rifle. Some end up good, some end up as a money-pit, and you never get you money back out of it. At that point you might just buy a Kidd Super-Grade exactly how you want it.
Ruger RPR22 can be hit or miss, but for $200-$300 some really shoot well. More than that money and I would pass.
Tikka T1 is a good rifle and not expensive.
CZ457 is a great little gun for the money.
The Bergara is supposed to be very nice. R700 footprint, trigger, magazines, etc is a really nice thing
Anschutz is an Anschutz. Only downside are magazines.
40x / Vudoo / Bighorn are the next level up.
