The O.C.D. part of me is causing facial tics over the facing of the side burner sticking out on the right side. Anything that sticks out is something I'd guarantee to catch my pants on. Have you considered trimming that to match the lines of the side burner flat surface?

If I trim it, then it's just a sharp edge of 22 gage metal to catch on things. Also the curve around the edge serves to strengthen the entire piece so it's not flopping around since it's only attached along the top edge.

My frugal nature presents in similar fashion. One fo the guys lost his grip on a final drive on a Goldwing while removing it, and punched a hole in the bottom of one of my drain pans. Replace: 13 bucks and a trip to the auto parts store. Braze it up: 10 minutes with the oxyacetylene torch and about an inch of brazing rod, plus a little brake cleaner to get it clean enough to braze.

I have to force myself to throw away scrap metal. I've been collecting it to practice on and it piles up in my garage.

As requested. I didn't get the best shots cause the wheelbarrow is busy holding some wood for me.

Beautiful.... in the way a "rat-rod" is. Looks heavy. Probably 3X the weight of a new one... with 10X the longevity. Nobody has been gentle on that thing.

That wheelbarrow was on a property up near the Pawnee Grasslands, just flipped upside down, sitting in the sun for I don't know how many years till I brought it home. When the handles finally let go, I'll be obligated to replace them instead of ditching the barrow. I just noticed the other day that I accidentally cut off about 3/4" of the tip of one handle when I was them as a saw horse to break down a pallet.

Looking at some of your projects. I suggest you invest in an oxy/act set up. That grill would have been easier, brazing, instead of welding it. Besides an Oxy/act setup will open a whole world of projects you can tackle

I've thought of that, in place of a plasma cutter.

You need all of them. Makes it a whole lot nicer. MiG, tig ac/dc, stick, spool gun for aluminum and stainless and the plasma. Don’t for get the oxy/act with the cutting torch, rosebud and at least 4 to 5 different sizes for brazing or heating up in smaller areas.

I stick welded some aluminum last year. There was definitely a learning curve and I accidentally stumbled on a trick that makes it way easier. Once I figured that out I was getting excellent results.
