Might have an answer here

tried many of those sites but could not get a link from any of them like photobucket has. probably just me not knowing how they work so I deleted all the accounts and ended up with google. Its all good im sure somebody will explain it to me. I am also on a laptop cant imagine that would have anything to do with it but who knows.
Thank you for trying to help but here is a prime example of what I am talking about.

it posts the link but not the pic and if I click on insert image it shows nothing.
[MOD: I clicked the link you included, then had to click on the pic at that link as it was just an HTML file at that point. Once I had the image opened, I rt-clicked and saved the image to my Desktop. I then used the Insert Image icon in this post and was able to attach the image directly (see below). - Ginsue]

Can anyone see this? If so, it's even easier with Firefox than Google Chrome. Once I confirm this can be seen and doesn't need resized, I'll walk you through the steps.
EDIT: Any difference in these two pictures?

It would be helpful if one of the mods could explain exactly what the frame and file size boundaries are and what if any image compression is used. It was once stated that there was ample storage available but this being a personal ad-free site I think everyone should be sensitive to keeping file sizes to a minimum. In the absence of automatic file compression that means all image files should be edited by the user with photo editing software or posted from a photo service that does automatic compression. No uploads directly from camera or camera phone unless the photo was taken using the smallest file size.
Personally, I shoot jpeg photos at the largest frame and file sizes that my cameras are capable of. This gives me ample room to crop and enhance the image for publication. For sharing by email or posting on the web I find that frame width of 1280 pixels and reducing file size from ~7mb to about 200-350kb works fine. At that it takes a lot of images to fill server storage.
