My standard minimum for any specific pistol is three, with specific exceptions for odd balls- Tokarev (2 mags), Beretta 1934 (1 mag).
My primary defensive pistols, like the Beretta 92 series, have MANY more per gun. If the G45 is your "only" pistol, I suggest securing 8 - 10 mags. Keep two to three in the wrapper for future needs and rotate the others for carry and range use.

The vagrants of Boulder welcome you...
Always, just 1 more...
For whatever reason, 8-12 mags is my number for handguns.

and I'm crazy about my tea at night
Five mags each as a minimum. Usually end up with approx 8 each as I will buy whenever on sale.
You never really have too many.
My personal rule on magazines is ten per gun. Probably overkill but after the 94 AWB while everyone else was scrambling and overpaying I just sat back and drank beer.
You just never know what the future holds. Four magazines may seem like enough right now but what about years down the road when you want or need more and suddenly you can no longer get them?
How many rounds will it take you to fight your way back to the rifle you shouldn't have left behind?
