Come to think of it, your trash can will fit that cage, so no need to go looking for one big enough.

Update.

My son brought my truck home around 5:30 so decided it was time to deal with the critter. Went to the trap to check on it and he was dead.

Triple bagged him and into the trash can he went.

I?ll have to pressure wash the trap to get the blood and fur off of it and make repairs to some of the damage and then it will be time to try and catch the other two raccoons.

Once I have rid my property of the raccoons I might try to trap some of the bunnies as well.

Dead from being in the trap for only 24ish hours? You should have performed a necropsy to find out why.

Less than 24 hours. Funny thing is I had heard that if you didn?t release a raccoon from the humane trap within 24 hours of its capture that it could die. I guess they were right.
