Seems that people on some of the Facebook groups were just putting in for anything without understanding what it was. One guy posted that he drew an Elk tag for 140 and had done some research on OnX and was asking for some ideas of where to start.. I told him that the only public land was Fisher Peak State Park and Lake Dorothy State Wildlife Area.. Good Luck! I feel like when Colorado dropped the requirement for up front payment that it has just opened up the doors for anyone and everyone to throw their hat in to the ring whether they know what they are doing or not. On top of that I've dozens of people picking up tags that are private land only tags or whatnot without having any understanding of what that means and then asking online if anyone knows of a good spot..
